Courage and Compassion

P7 Rm12 Mrs campbell

Welcome to Primary 7 with Mrs Campbell.

In P7 we are all a team and enjoy learning new things. We have our ‘Class Recognition Board’ to show off our successes and achievements in both our learning and being ‘Ready, Respectful and Safe’ around the school. In the class we can earn £1’s which we can save money towards our class prize box. We also earn House Points for being Ready, Respectful and Safe around the school.

We started the term reminding ourselves of the Rights of the Child, we discussed the values we aim to have in class and found relevant articles to support these values. From this we have created our vegetable class charter and have identified how the teachers in the school allow us to access our rights but also how we allow others in the school to access their rights.  We refer to our rights throughout our learning every day. We also enjoy watching Newsround and discussing how children’s rights are being affected by national events in the world.

Term 1 has flown by with lots of successful learning. We have had the amazing opportunity to take part in cricket lessons, develop relationships within the school with our P1 buddies in room 1. We also had the most important opportunity to become house and vice captains and apply for our P7 job roles. We would also like to thank you all for coming to our amazing coffee morning that we hosted for MacMillian and were overwhelmed by the amount we raised, £552.61.

Over the next year I am sure it will fly by like this term we will be working on our final year of learning at Tulloch Primary School. This year, we are getting prepared for high school, and we will be taking part in lots of transition activities to help us to prepare for the next chapter in our lives. Transition days will take place in June for all chosen high schools. We will, of course, have lots of fun along the way. Our next IDL topic we have chosen to learn about is the Titanic and in Term 3 we have decided to learn about WW2. Throughout the year we will take time to celebrate all the achievements and special parts of our time at Tulloch in our leaver’s assembly in Term 4.

Our P.E. days are Monday and Thursday this year and Mr Wright teaches us all things P.E. In Term 4 we will also get the opportunity to go swimming.  We are looking forward to our class trips, transition events and end of year leaver’s assembly.
